I know for all parents, the thought alone of SIDS sends chills up your spine. Your baby means the world to you. As a more serious topic on the blog, here are some parenting tips both doctors and scientists encourage to help prevent SIDS. Thought I would pass it along!
You shouldn't allow your baby to sleep on his/her belly. Use the "Back to Sleep" campaign and lay your infant to bed on their back.
Pacifiers may reduce the risk of SIDS. It influences your child's breathing habits.
Doctors advise against "co-sleeping" (sleeping in the same bed as your baby). There are a ton of risks involved with this such as rolling onto the baby, suffocation, etc.
Never leave blankets or toys in your infants crib. These are suffocation devices.

ahhh :) Beautiful, and a good post about the dangers to newborns. I have 3 children, my youngest is under 3 months old, so we're extra careful and all that especially naps and normal sleep times.
